HOW TO PROTECT YOUR COMPUTER FROM VIRUS

A virus infecting your
computer can be very
dangerous. It can destroy data
on your computer and can also
steal your identity. Computer
viruses can spread faster than
the human variety and you
need to be very careful in
guarding your computer or
laptop PC against viruses if you
work on the internet most of
the time.some of us do not take
precautionary measures to scan
a device or documents before
making use of it and this could
lead to more damages which
you have resolve.so today i am
going to share with you on the
tips to help you in
safeguarding your computer
from a virus attack .
so please make use of the tips
below.
steps to protect computer
from virus
==> Anti-Virus Software
Always use authentic and
complete protection anti-virus
software on your computer to
protect it from viruses and
other spyware. The anti-virus
software should be kept up-to-
date all the time. Many good
anti-virus software are available
free of cost on the internet. But,
commercial software comes
with some extra features.
==> Have a Personal Firewall
Apart from anti-virus software,
make sure that you have a
personal firewall protecting
your computer from any
malicious software. Firewalls
protect your computer from
malicious software getting
installed on your computer
remotely by some intruders. If
you use routers in your home
or office to access internet,
then firewalls can be installed
on them directly.
==> Be Careful with Email
Attachments and Shares on
Social Networking Sites
Be careful when opening
attachments of emails received
from unknown senders. Many
viruses are circulated on the
internet as email attachments.
Caution is advised even when
opening attachments received
from known senders if they
look suspicious. Some files like
pictures and videos shared on
social networking sites have
viruses that could damage your
computer. So, stay away from
clicking on such shares.
==> Harmful Sites
Don't visit and download any
data from sites which offer
freeware, porn, shareware,
warez, etc. Files downloaded
from their sites can be infected
with viruses and other kinds of
malicious software. Even if you
download data from such kind
of sites, remember to scan
those files for viruses before
you install them on your
computer.
==> Keep your OS Up-To-Date
Always keep your computer OS
up-to-date. Vendors of all major
OS' like Windows and Mac
frequently release security
patches which protect the
computers working on their OS
from any virus or malware.
Setting your OS to update
automatically is a good option
to consider.
==> Turnoff your Computer
when not in Use
It is better to turn off your
computer when not in use. A
computer which is switched on
will have more chances of
getting infected with viruses
than a computer which is
switched off. Another
precaution that can be taken is
to disconnect your computer
from the internet when you
don't need to be online.
==> External Data Storage
Devices
Be careful when accessing data
stored in external data storage
devices like USB Flash Drives,
CDs and DVDs. These external
storage devices might have got
infected with viruses when they
are connected to other
computers. Scanning these
devices for viruses before
copying data from them is
advised.
There is no guarantee of
keeping your computer
completely safe from virus
infections. But keeping a good
defense on your computer can
go a long way in preventing
virus from attacking your
computer.
this is a guess post by the
author: Brianne Walter, a
blogger who is always enjoying
writing on tech and design. She
is very fond of gadgets, books
and currently working on a
write up on

recently she read an article on
technology.

HOW TO SEND GAMES/APPLICATION USING BLU FTP

Who says one can not send
java applications with their
s40 java mobile phone .any
body who wishes to send .jar
applications can easily do that
with the help of blueftp .blue ftp
is a file manager that enables
s40 java phone users to
manage their files and folders

applications from your s40
java mobile phone .
you may like to read how to
read pdf ebook with your java
so how do i send .jar
applications from my java
phone using blue ftp
step1: google for blueftp and
download, then install it.
step2: now go to
xchanger.mobi to download
any .jar application.when
downloading from
xchanger.mobi, their is an
option to download either
in .jar or zip file.if you choose
the .jar it means you are going
to download the raw
application, but if you choose
the zip format, it means the raw
app is going to be inside a zip
which is what we want.
step3: after downloading the
zip file in step2 above.open
your blueftp and locate the
downloaded from zip in your
memory card
step4: open it and extract
the .jar file you will see inside.to
extract it,just press the upper
left soft key on your device, then
choose extract this item or you
can use the short cut by just
pressing 1.
step5: when you choose the
extract selected item, it will take
you back in order to choose
any folder you want to extract
the file to.so choose any folder
and press the upper left soft
key and choose extract item
here or simply use the short cut
by pressing 3.
step6: after extracting the .jar
file, you will see the extension
being renamed to _jar in the
folder you extracted it to.now
all you need to do is to clear all
the entry leaving only one letter
with the _jar extension e.g. If
the jar file is operamini.jar
before, and after extracting it,it
becomes operamini_jar.just
press the upper left soft key
and choose rename,then clear
the operamini leave just one
letter lets say the starting letter
which is O.it will now become
O_jar.
step7: you can now send the
file to any phone.to do this, still
on blueftp, you will see two
option which is local at the left
hand side and Bluetooth at the
right hand side.the local is your
phone while the Bluetooth is
where the other phone will
appear after pairing it.
to pair it, choose the Bluetooth
at the right hand side and
search for the person's phone
and pair it together.you will
noticed that the person's folder
will show up on your blueftp
which will give you access to
his files and folders.
all you need to do is to copy the
application you renamed from
your local and paste it inside
any folder in the other phone
i.e you copy from the left and
paste it to the right.after
sending it, rename the O_jar
from the person phone to O.jar,
you are done.you will now see
it as operamini.jar raw file. the
person can then install it on his
phone.
NOTE: you can also
download .jar file directly to
your device using
ucweb.ucweb will automatically
rename it to _jar.then follow the

THINGS TO NEED TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE

making money online is quite different from
offline business, so one have to make
necessary provision to facilitate the online
money making business. if you are an internet
user who wish to start a business online be it,
affiliate marketing , blogging, selling of ebooks,
rendering of internet services, web design etc, i
am going to share with you on what you
need to start making money online
believe it or not, you are required to have some
little skills to help you progress in the online
search for wealth.so many guru will tell you
that you don't even need to know any thing to
start making cash through the internet
especially in Nigeria, all lies.its either you have
knowledge about it, all you do research to
learn.so please read and follow some of the
basic things.
basic requirement to start making money
online
KNOWLEDGE
this is one of the first ingredient you must use
to spice up you quest.you must acquire at least
little of it to start any form of business if you
want to start earning cash online because if you
don't have little knowledge about what you
intend doing, then there is no way you would
excel.
its either you know it or you learn it by
researching about it.if you don't know what is
ebook, then there is no way you can create
one, if you don't know what web design is all
about, then there is no way you can design
one either by using CMS script ( WordPress,
joomla, drupal etc ) OR CODING ( html, php,
css, javascript ) etc because you must learn
how to use them.
COMPUTER
if any one is serious about earning cash online,
then you should make provision for
computer.you need to know how to use it and
make it available for your daily use online.
the benefit of owning your own computer
outweigh the use of cyber cafe or companies
computer because there may be some
pressing issue you have to attend to even at
midnight.
you can also facilitate your activities online
when using personal computer.
INVESTMENT
as a wealth seeker online, you must provide
means of investment in the business you wish
to do.don't expect manners to fall from
above.there is no two ways about it.they use
money to find money, same also follows in the
online world.
you must put some investment on ground
before you will achieve your goal, so if any
body that claim to be guru told you that you
don't need to spend a dime to make money
online, then that is a BIG FAT LIES .
you can never make a dime if you don't spend
your hard earn money online because that's
just the way it is. the computer you bought is
an investment, internet subscription is an
investment, buying of gurus ebooks is an
investment, payment for google adword,
facebook ads is an investment, telling some
one to build a website for you is an investment
and in fact, spending time online is also an
investment because without such, you won't
make a dime in the kind of business you wish
to do online that requires them to progress, so
why on earth must a guru lie just to sell their
stuff, so please there is no free food in free-
town.
you must spend that little cash you have to
progress online
PRODUCT
you must have a product that will serve as the
basis of your online business, be it affiliate
marketing, blogging, selling of ebooks,
rendering of services, web design etc because
without a product, there won't be any business
to do, yes you heard me right.one needs a
product which comprises of (GOODS AND
SERVICES) to render to those that needs it
before you can say you are doing a business.
facebook owner have a product, yahoo have a
product, google have a product, bloggers have
a product, affiliate marketers have a product,
info marketers ( ebook sellers ) have a product
which serve as one of their merchandise in the
business online.
MEANS OF PAYMENT
i love this part because every internet wealth
seekers need it. since you offer a product, then
there should be a means to collect cash from
customers.customers must pay and the only
way they can do that is to provide them with
means through which they can pay either by
bank, payment processors like ( libertyreserve,
payza, paypal ) and also through credit card.
you can either use them to make payment or
receive payment from customers.
so i believe with the basic requirement, one can
strategies their plans towards setting up their
business to cover any of the area been
mentioned.
if you have any other needed requirement not
mentioned, you can share it with us so other
visitors can benefit by making use of the
comment form.that's all.ENJOY.
